Best Fashion/Style Iphone apps...

Who doesnt have an iphone? So the people who doesnt actually have one wanna get one in the near future?? I bet the the answer must be yes and yes!! to those who havent got it yet... once you have it, life just does not run smoothly without it!!

my daily routine has become checking mail in the morning and run through all news apps to keep myself updated.... then facebook comes next! during the day, will check at other apps and prob play a game or 2.. and finally, one last rerun of above before sleep.... yes it sounds crazy but iphone users will know what i am talking about!

theres so many apps you will never actually use but you just keep them in the phone JUST IN CASE!! i never really go through my huge extensive list of fashion apps cos i find a lot of them are actually useless, boring, uninformative and uncreative! this especially applies to the branded apps!! if you are a brand, you just have to have an app to keep you in the league regardless if the iphone app does any use to end users! hahah true to heart.... im just happy to have that icon on my phone to feel like i own something from that brand for FREE! having said all that, there are some fashion apps which i totally check ... some everyday and some occasionally but at least i check it right? not just placed there till it rots!

so heres my favourite fashion apps  ... (in no particular order)
1) Style.com

i actually go through all the show videos cos i love the interviews they do before and after the show with editors etc... its a good bed time watch!

2) Sales Cast

this app will make you go broke, update and notifications of the latest flash sales!! very extensive list that will make sure you spend every penny you've got

3) Zara + Topshop

Huge fan of these 2 chain stores so i need to constantly check whats new in to make sure I dont miss out any of the nice stuff before it sells out... you have no idea how crazy and fast they sell out in my area and zara is going to open an online shop which is prob the best thing in the world to happen! i cant stand queuing for fitting and paying!

4) Trend tracker

easy to browse and i personally love sites categorise by trends and an app that is actually on trends??? BINGO!

Style blogger - Bryan Boy

The age of digital media has brought a new bunch of fashion pioneers to the fashion industry... there are so many influential bloggers nowadays we have blog overloads. I have like bookmarks of 100blogs which I read and the list is building... but at the same time i'm starting to delete some of the boring ones... same old style, same old poses... (not to name any names :P)

So... my fav style blogger no. 1 : www.bryanboy.com

I know I dont need to actually need to name him here cos everyone would know who he is and blah blah...but I just feel the need to congratulate him on his success which he gained from the amount of effort and dedication. His blog shows variety, from runway pics, videos and reports to his own personal style to everything that happens. He manages to show his personality and creates a very personal experience for the reader. On top of all this, I personally think his success lies on the fact that even after all these years, his blog is never boring, always new and vibrant! Great Work!!

Fall trends

According to Style.com, here are the fall trends 2010 with additionally my point of view :)

1. Flares - shown in Balmain's collection

comment: a little bit of flare is ok like boot leg jeans but not in the shape of lamp shades... main concern is i will need to stock in new jeans and finding the perfect pair of boot leg jeans cost A FORTUNE!

2. something velvet -

comment: brands have always been trying to heat velvet over the past few years but never succeeded... im personally never a fan but do have a nice velvet blazer in case velvet comes back this year :P

3. Camel Coat - show in Celine and Chloe

comment: YESSSSS J"ADORE!! always loved camel colour stuff... just such a graceful, classy and elegant colour...

4. a shearling -

comment: have one of those at the back of my wardrobe as well ... from kids gap!! to petite ladies out there who arent shopping in kids departments...you are missing out... BIG TIME!

5. statement gloves

comment: gloves are a classy accessory and to make it wild and adventurous is just not right.. its like making a worn/destressed denim birkin bag... doesnt make sense!

6. fur bag

comment: at the risk of being splashed with paint!

7. short cuffed jeans

comment - no please... makes people short and fat look short and fat, please no more trends for model only bodies!

8. a cropped sweater - shown in Proenza Schouler's collection

comment - i wouldnt consider this as a new trend cos been happening last year?

9. the longer skirt - as worn by the Olsen sisters

comment: honestly who can pull of the Olsen sisters look most of the time? as above comment for no. 7

10. double breasted jacket

comment: love love love as well...... hmmmmm ok.... shopping time!!!

Summer has hit town!!

There's been record breaking heat so what more is there to write about than the summer than what to wear that makes you feel good in the hot summer heat???

The greatest thing about summer is that its never all about fashion, there's too little to wear to create the overall trendy look. Its all about creating a look based on vibe and atmosphere and where your look can bring you to and make you feel. There is just an infinite amount of different combinations that can exactly define the mood for your summer days...

My mood of the day is : with a little breeze in summer, wind is blowing my dress and i feel romanticized
